Ross Backen

Consultant Psychologist
As the principal of Connexions Ross has over 15 years experience in the field of assessment and treatment of psychological distress and injury. With relation to workers compensation and CTP he has specialised in working closely with employers and injured workers in the return to work of difficult injuries, both physical and psychological. In addition he has researched, developed and implemented Chronic Pain Management programs over the past 20 years.
More recently Ross has focused on the study and application of
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy both with individuals and in
organisations. This has proven extremely successful and fulfilling to
those he has worked with as well as to Ross himself.
Dr Robyn A Young
Dr Robyn Young is a Psychiatric Medical Officer with an extremely wide range of experience both in Australia and overseas. She is the key focus for the psychiatric treatment within our practice.
Karen Mulready
Consultant Psychologist
During the past decade Karen has been involved in the case management and treatment of injured workers and individuals in both the workers compensation and compulsory third party systems. In addition she has gained broad experience in facilitating the needs of individuals within the business sector. More specifically Karen has extensive experience in providing psychological assessment and treatment services, including treatment for panic attacks, generalised anxiety disorder, adjustment disorder, acute stress disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, adjustment to injury and disability, chronic pain, relationship issues and drug and alcohol counselling.
